We picked our clinic because it’s a Sunfish clinic. I know Sunfish wouldn’t take the risk with offering this bundle if it wasn’t a good clinic.

What is the average IVF cost in the USA?

In 2025–2026, the average cost of a single IVF cycle in the United States typically ranges from $15,000 to $30,000 depending on your clinic, location, and cycle complexity.

The total all-in price of an IVF cycle can include:

  • Clinic base fee
  • Egg retrieval and embryo creation
  • Genetic testing
  • Embryo transfer
  • Medications
  • Additional testing and monitoring
  • Storage fees

Some unforeseen costs that patients often incur to support IVF journeys and success include fertility coaching, mental health support, and complementary treatments (e.g. acupuncture, nutritional counseling, supplements).

It is important to note that many clinics quote a "base price" that excludes medications and specialized lab techniques. Visit the Sunfish Blog for a more in-depth breakdown of costs.

How do I find a clinic that's right for me?

Finding the right clinic is a personal and significant decision. It involves looking beyond proximity to find a team that aligns with your specific goals and needs. Here are a few tips to help get started:

  • Ask your OB/GYN for a referral; many OB/GYNs work closely with reproductive endocrinologists and can help point you in the direction of a clinic that could suit your specific needs
  • Use curated search tools like this one to filter providers by specialized services, financial packages and location
  • Read verified reviews on platforms like Fertility IQ to learn more about patient experiences

Ultimately, scheduling a consultation is the best way to ensure you feel supported and comfortable with your care team’s approach. For more detailed tips on vetting providers, read the full guide on the Sunfish blog.

If there are no participating Sunfish clinics near me, what should I do?

Sunfish is actively working on expanding our partner clinic network. Reach out to Sunfish at support@joinsunfish.com with clinic-specific requests.

How can I ask my clinic to offer Sunfish?

We are always expanding our clinic partnerships - if your clinic doesn't currently offer Sunfish’s Success Programs, you can still advocate for the financing and support you need. Clinics want their patients to succeed, and financial stress is one of the biggest barriers to access. You can share your interest in working with Sunfish or reach out to us at support@joinsunfish.com with the clinic name so that our team can connect.

How do I find a top fertility clinic near me?

Finding the right clinic that suits your individual needs is a critical first step in your fertility journey.  We partner with top clinics across the country that have already been vetted for quality, clinical excellence, and financial clarity. Our provider search tool is designed to help you navigate these choices by identifying specialists who prioritize clinical excellence and patient-centered care. It can help you find partner clinics in your area, as well as clinics outside of our network in locations we currently aren’t in.

How many rounds of IVF does it take to get pregnant?

While success rates vary by age, fertility diagnoses, medical history, and several other factors, success rate increases significantly with multiple rounds. On average, it takes about 2.3 to 3 embryo transfers to achieve a successful pregnancy.

Most specialists recommend planning for 2 to 3 full rounds of treatment, with that number increasing based on age and other factors. Ask your fertility clinic any bundle options they offer in order to manage the all-in cost of treatment and care.

Success rates can be complex; it’s important to look at "live birth per intended retrieval" rather than just pregnancy rates. You can find verified, transparent data for most U.S. clinics through the Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology (SART) or the CDC’s annual reports.
